Station types
When starting your FM station there are several options available to you:
Low power FM.
Low Power FM is for non-profit organizations. It's designed for governmental or educational organizations and community groups. In order to get a license for this type of radio station it cannot be commercial, any money that is made has to be put back into the radio station. It uses less power than commercial radio stations and covers a smaller area. It may enable you to broadcast anywhere up to 100W and it covers a radius of a few miles to 10 miles. Full power FM.
Full power FM is more popular as it is for commercial radio stations where the aim is to make a profit. Internet Streaming.
Internet streaming is another option you should consider when starting a radio station.
